Blythe Park PTA’s 2010-2011 Information Packet came home hard copy with your youngest child last Thursday. The Information Packet include: your 2010-2011 membership envelope, the 2010-2011 Directory Form and the 2010-2011 Volunteer Interest Form. Please take a moment to complete and return the membership envelope and the Directory and Volunteer Interest forms by Friday, May 28th.

Come to Blythe Park School Open House and sign up for a week during the summer to help water and weed the Blythe Park gardens. We provide the hose, sprinkler and the key to the outdoor faucets. Calendars for the sign-up will be at a table outside the school office. See you Thursday, April 22!!

It is time for the Blythe Park PTA‘s Annual Tradition…the Halloween Play! Each year the PTA parents perform a play for the children of Blythe Park School as part of the school’s Halloween celebration. This year, we are for looking parent actors and actresses to star in “Blythe Park Musical Meets the Phantom.” Interested in participating? Please send an e-mail to blytheparkpta@yahoo.com and plan to attend the kick-off meeting on Friday, September 25th at 1:00pm in the auditorium. Please join us for the Teacher’s Appreciation Lunch on May 8th from 11:30 - 12:30. This year’s theme is International Tapas Lunch which is described in the attached Invitation. All parents are invited to cook, volunteer, donate, and/or enjoy the lunch with teachers and staff to thank them for all they do for us and for our children. Babysitting will be available.

If so, the Blythe Park resource room could use your help. The teachers at Blythe Park School are trying to expand their listening libraries and have already ordered many new audio books through a generous REEF grant. Unfortunately, not all of our favorite novels are available on CD, so we need your help in creating podcasts. If you would like to help, please join Miss Danno, our resource teacher, on Tuesday, April 28th at 1:45pm in the Resource Room for more information and training (classroom directly across from office). Please return the attached Resource Room Volunteers Form by Friday, April 24th. Any questions, please contact Miss Danno at dannod@district96.org.
