Blythe Park’s Holiday Program will be performed on Monday, December 14th at 7:00pm in the Blythe Park Auditorium. The title of the program is “Colors of the Season”. Please encourage your children to wear the following colors.
Kindergarten - RED
First Grade - GREEN
Second Grade - BLUE AND GOLD
Third Grade - White
Fourth Grade and Fifth Grade - All colors of the Season

The Board of Education will hold their November meeting, Tuesday, December 15th at Hauser Jr. High in the library at 7:30pm. The meeting’s agenda is attached.

Friday, December 18th an Early Release Day. All students will be released for pick-up at 11:30am. There will be no school Monday, December 21st - Friday, January 1st. Classes will resume on Monday, January 4th. Have a wonderful Holiday break with your families!

SAVE THE DATE
On Tuesday, January 5th at 2:15pm the shoe drive will kick-off with an assembly. Everyone is invited to attend.
START SAVING YOUR GENTLY USED SHOES!!!
Share Your Soles is a non-profit organization that provides gently worn shoes to those in greatest need around the world.
Bring your gently used shoes to school Jan. 5- Feb. 5.
There will be shoe drop box in front of the office.
Please be sure that the shoes are washed and gently worn. (no holes, still have soles & not worn off on bottom)

AND… DON’T FORGET ABOUT THE PAPER SHOE DRIVE
1. Students must do a task or good deed for which they will be paid a minimum of $5.00.
2. Students donate the earned money to Share Your Soles.
3. Students decorate and personalize their paper shoe and bring it school with the $5.00 donation. Paper shoes will be distributed Jan. 5 to all students.
4. Paper shoes will be displayed in the office window!
KEEP SAVING FRITO LAY BAGS AND CAPRI SUN JUICE POUCHES TOO
Remember to send Frito Lay bags and Capri Sun Juice Pouches to school. Bags will be redeemed for money to be donated to Share Your Soles.

Each year the Blythe Park PTA gives handmade ornaments to all the children and staff. Please join us in making this year’s ornaments on Monday, December 7th from 9:00-11:00am in the Blythe Park Auditorium. Babysitting will be available and refreshments will be served. Blythe Park PTA’s annual Snowball Dance is this Friday, December 11th at 6:30pm. Come bring the whole family for some fun dancing and sweet holiday treats! Look for your families sparklin’ invitation in your child’s backpack.

Here’s a fun way to help out PTA if you like to wrap gifts…. Sign up for a two-hour time slot to wrap gifts at Barnes and Noble Booksellers at the Oak Brook Shopping Center. The store provides the gift wrap, scissors and tape, we provide the workers and keep all donations made to our organization! The dates are 12/13 (3-7p.m.) and 12/20 (3-7:30p.m.).
