Make sure to mark your calendars for Blythe Park PTAs annual Ice Cream Social. It will take place two weeks earlier this year on Friday, September 10th at 6:30pm in the Amphitheater (inside if weather is inclement). Bring your whole family for an ice cream sundae. After enjoying the ice cream, come to the gym to play some board games. Any questions, e-mail blytheparkpta@yahoo. com or contact at Susan Casey at 447-4285.

By clipping Box Top$ logos from some of your favorite products, you can help Blythe Park earn FREE money. We earn 10 cents for each logo we collect, which added up to $600 last year! Students can participate in the Box Top Baggie contest. Each time you collect 10 Box Top$ (a change this year), put them in a baggie with your child’s name and grade on it and drop it in the box outside the school office. For each baggie your child submits, he/she is entered in a monthly drawing for a fun prize. We also have a contest between all the classrooms and an individual prize, too. Please start clipping and spread the word to your friends and family. Below are links to a flier you can share with your family and a one-page sheet that lists all products that sport the Box Top$ logo. Blythe Park PTA will hold a welcome picnic for kindergarteners and their families on Monday, August 23rd from 11:30am-12:30pm in the amphitheatre. All Kindergarteners and their families are invited to come enjoy lunch and meet their kindergarten classmates. 8:25 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
Kindergarten
Last name beginning with A-D: 8:30 a.m. – 9:00 a.m.
Last name beginning with E-H: 9:00 a.m. – 9:30 a.m.
Last name beginning with I-L: 9:30 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.
Last name beginning with M-P: 10:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.
Last name beginning with Q-T: 10:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
Last name beginning with U-Z: 11:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.

For those with paid memberships and/or paid district calendars, your membership card and/or your district calendar will be ready for pick-up. For those who would like to join PTA and/or purchase a district calendar, both will be available for purchase. As a reminder, a PTA membership is $5.00 and includes a school directory and a district calendar is $5.00. If paying by check, please make check payable to Blythe Park PTA. To kick off the school year, Blythe Park PTA brings The Boom Troupe to perform ” Own It! Committing to Great Character”. This exciting assembly is designed to help students take ownership and responsibility over their own character. The assembly will be performed on Wednesday, August 25th at 10:00am the auditorium.
