Blythe Park PTA’s 2020-2021 School Supply Kit sale will now run until June 12th*. All class supply lists (Kindergarten thru 5th Grade) are available for purchase online from The Write Stuff. School supplies will be delivered to the school in August.

Online Ordering Instructions –

1) Go to www.write-stuff.com/storefront/school/blythe
2) Select the grade level.
3) Enter your student’s name. *NOTE: Item quantities can be changed if you already have an item in the kit.
5) Follow prompts to check out.
6) Save and print email confirmation for your records.

*NOTE: There is no cost to have your kits shipped to school if ordered by June 12th.  If you order after June 12th or have the kits delivered to another location, standard shipping charges will apply.

PLEASE NOTE: Blythe Park is receiving discounted pricing until June 12th. After that date, regular pricing and shipping costs will apply.

Six Flags Reading Logs are due THIS Friday.

Six Flags Reading program logs are due THIS FRIDAY (April 17th).

Every K-5th Grade Blythe Park student who completes six hours of recreational reading is eligible to receive a ticket to a Six Flags theme park. Families can go online sixflags.com/books and use the Blythe Park Elementary School code: EBQCA  by April 17th th will receive one free admission ticket to a participating Six Flags Theme Park this summer.

*NOTE – Tickets are expected to arrive in May.

Due to the COVID 19 meeting restrictions, we will not be holding an election in person. Hot Lunch registration open for March, April and May until 3/18

Registration is open for Hot Lunch – Register your student for the remainder of the year (3 months). The Hot Lunch menu will include a slice of cheese pizza, seasonal fruit, a treat, and a drink.

If you have not registered your student by Wednesday, March 18th, they will not have the opportunity to register again for Hot Lunch until the next payment period in March.

 Single lunch payments are not available. Also, no prorating, no make-up day, no refunds.

If paying by cash or check (payable to Blythe Park PTA) please place payment in an envelope marked with your family name and “Hot Lunch” and bring to the school office. *NOTE – This program is only for children that have the option of staying at school for lunch.

Library Readers/Helpers are needed this week(PM Kindergarten, both 1st grades, and 2nd-grade class)

Our next set of volunteer spots are available on Wednesdays and Thursdays to help Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd-grade students during their library time. 

Volunteers for Kindergarten will have the opportunity to read to the students.

Volunteers for 1st and 2nd grade will help students find books for checkout and then read to the students.

Following is the library schedule for K, 1st, and 2nd grade:

Our One School One Book Celebration Event is this Thursday

 Mark your calendar for Thursday, March 12, from 6:30-8:00 PM! Our students have been thoroughly engrossed in this year’s OSOB read of Frindle by Andrew Clements. The celebration will be held in the Blythe Park School Gymnasium and will feature fun and interactive events related to our book’s theme.

Chicago Fire Family Outing at Soldier Field

Blythe Park families and staff are invited to attend a Chicago Fire FC game on Saturday, April 25th at Soldier Field.  Game tickets will be on sale March 3rd through Friday, March 20th.  Families can purchase tickets through Cheddarup and then the PTA will buy a block of tickets in sections 150 – 153.

On Saturday, April 4th Hauser Jr. High will be holding Feed Our Community Day. On this special day in April, our community will be packing tens of thousands of “Meals of Hope” for hungry children and families. The meals packed will be delivered to the Riverside Township Food Pantry, the Salvation Army Red Shield Center Food Pantry in Englewood and local residents in need. Our goal is to pack 50,000 meals.  You are invited to join with family, friends, and neighbors to pack meals of hope for hungry children and their families.

The Blythe Park PTA has reserved tables for 2 hours shifts from 9 am to 5PMto help pack meals for local families in need. Anyone of any age can participate!
